Today was the first day of my Master Gardener training and I am so excited. Tonight we pretty much went over what the following classes would entail, introductions, received our materials, and toured the gardens adjacent to the extension office. Some interesting things in the gardens were the Gigantic Garden, which had gigantics watermelons, musk melons and a huge pumpkin they estimated weighed about 400 pounds.
In addition I met some people who were talking about Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew. I was intrigued to say the least. I have got to find out more information on this! It sounds like it's exactly what I should be doing...
